Job Description

Ensuring that all content on the website is accurate, up to date, easy to understand, and free of bias or conflict of interest
Reviewing and editing article drafts for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and scientific accuracy
Managing the editorial process for a journal or magazine including selecting articles for publication, working with authors to develop articles, and working with designers to create the layout of each issue

Participating in editorial meetings to discuss strategies for increasing readership or improving sales through promotional campaigns
Reviewing manuscripts submitted to journals to determine whether they should be published or rejected
Conducting research on topics related to the field of medicine such as diagnosis and treatment of diseases, disorders, and injuries
Writing or editing materials for printed publications such as academic journals or magazines about topics such as new research findings or medical breakthroughs
Coordinating with authors, artists, and other contributors to ensure that all steps in the publishing process are completed on time
