Job Description
Urgent Requirement for Kitchen Assistant in Ernakulam.
1 To be able to move about the kitchen easily and quickly.
2 To possess sufficient language skills to understand the tasks at hand.
3 To be able to lift/unload/move food and supplies; lift dishes to storage location
4 Use kitchen equipment safely; operate electrical and mechanical equipment
5 Determine cleanliness of dishes, food-contact surfaces, and kitchen
General Responsibilities:
1 To maintain the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen.
2 To perform whatever duties the chefs see necessary
3 To assist with serving food.
4 To assist with clean-up of the kitchen.
5 To assist with consolidation and proper storage of food after meals.
6 To clean up after meals and ongoing cleaning to maintain the highest levels of sanitation in the kitchen.
7 Dishwashing
8 Beverage counter cleaning
9 Assist with grilling, meat slicing.
10 Sweeping and mopping at regular intervals.
11 Remove garbage regularly
12 Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
13 Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders with chef when necessary
14 Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
15 Comply with sanitation guidelines

Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management
- XII Std/Plus Two (Higher Secondary)
