Urgent requirement for Data Analyst Engineer in Ernakulam.

Job Description:

As a data analyst you will have strong knowledge in collects, transform and analyzes large sets of data to discover patterns and some other useful information.


Essential Skills & Experience:

Expert knowledge in open-source Hadoop eco-system tools for crunching Big Data such as Sqoop, Flume, Hive, Pig, Spark, Kafka, Ambari, etc.

Good knowledge in programming languages like Python, Scala

Experience in work with large amount of data (Big Data) in terms of volume, velocity & variety

Experience working with both relational & non-relational databases

Ability to import data from various external data sources

Data cleansing and standardization

Ability to process Structured, Semi-structured and Un-structured data

Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques & provide ongoing reports

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development & data mining

Creating data visualisations to effectively convey findings

Good Knowledge in visualization tools like SuperSet / Zeppellin / Tableau / Power BI

Knowledge in Analytical Services on cloud providers such as AWS, Azure & Google


Preferred Experience in:

Data analytics services from Azure like HDInsights, Data Bricks, Data factory.

Exposure in leveraging ML & NLP services from cloud platforms would be an advantage.


Desirable:

Knowledge in NoSQL database such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Amazon DynamoDB

Certification in Big Data Speciality from Hortonworks, Cloudera, AWS, Microsoft

Mentor and train other developers on the data analytics tools

Database Administrator


JOB Responsibility and Experience

Establish the needs of users and monitoring user access and security

Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users

Map out the conceptual design for a planned database

Consider both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users

Refine the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model

Physical design to meet system storage requirements

Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS)

Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act

Control access permissions and privileges

Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans

Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly

Carry out capacity planning

Work closely with IT project managers, database programmers

Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.

Min 5 years of experience in Design, Architect, Manage various DBs including new generation databases like HANA.



Skill Set

Design / Architect and implement database (Both Cloud & On premise)

Data recovery techniques and backup.

Provide proactive and reactive database management

Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity

Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches

DB Upgrades and Migrations

Performance Tuning

Provide High Availability Solutions

Proficiency on Oracle / MySQL / MSSQL/ Sybase / DB2 Etc

Knowledge on Hana Database

Working knowledge on Various operating systems (Windows/Linux)

Knowledge on various DB Admin tools

Knowledge on SQL and Extensions

Educational/ Certifications

Graduate in computer science


Professional Certification

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) – Data Platform or Business Intelligence

IBM Certified Database Administrator
