However only after the receipt of your hosting fee, does the resume gets activated and remain available online for public view.

STEP 2 of 3

Resume Heading : the information you enter here is very important because this is going to be the title of your resume when it is displayed. The words should be so chosen that on the one hand it must attract the attention of the job provider and on the other hand it should give an overall picture about the candidate in a couple of words eg., …. (“Mechanical Engineer with 6 years experience” or “Marketing Executive with FMCG Experience” etc.

Target Job Category & Area of Specialisation : Remember selection of this data is very important hence all the future resume short listing and job alerts are based on this information. Please ensure that the target job category and area of specialisation should have some relationship with your current experience or the core area of experience of your career. In order to widen the scope of shortlisting, an alternate job category and area of specialisation is recommended though not mandatory.

Desired Job Preference : Selecting the desired job preference like job type, job location, and salary expectation from the given options would make the shortlisting or job search more accurate and relevant. At the same time specifying these information in no way limit your negotiating leverage in future.

Work Experience Details : First mention the total number of work experience and do not forget to mention the current work status, whether “Employed” or “Unemployed”. If the current status is indicated as “Employed” please ensure that your work Experience I reflects the details of current/latest job.

The second most relevant and important work experience can be reflected in the work experience II, no matter whether that job preceeds immediately the first job or not.

All other additional work experience can be covered in the “Text Format Resume” which is displayed along with the standard format. While completing the Job Profile, make sure that you include all the specific details of the job you were responsible for. Quatifying the performance you have achieved while carrying out your responsibilities would certainly make your resume distinctive as compared to your competitors Eg. You can specify that the production levels have increased by so much percentage after you took over the responsibility or as compared to previous year.

Current Position Level : Revealing your current position level in the organisation where you are currently working would help the prospective job provider to make an exact assessment of your credentials. Though this term is relative in nature, this would give an overall picture about the suitability of the candidate.

Payment Particulars : The payment option and remittance option may be selected here. If you prefer to make payment through cash/DD, the address of the head office or any other franchise location can be viewed from the complete list of franchisees. However if you opt for credit card payment option, on submission of the page 3 of 3 the payment gateway page will appear for payment processing.

Before proceeding to save & continue, it is mandatory that every candidate accept the terms & conditions of jobsomega by clicking the relevant column.

STEP 3 OF 3

In this page, first the level of qualification and area of specialisation (major) is selected. If the required qualification specialisation is not available select “others” and specify the qualification in the space provided. Space for entering alternate qualification level and specialisation is also provided. Any other additional qualifications or any relevant trainings undergone can be entered in the text field provided for the purpose.

This text field can also be used for mentioning all the special achievements, award and incentives which you have obtained during your work or during the academic period.

Key Skills
This is again one of the most important data based on which shortlisting of resumes for jobs posted in the site is carried out. The key skills are also prominently displayed whenever resume details are shown. Therefore the selection of keywords must be done in such a way that it gives an accurate idea about the credentials of the candidate. Eg., For a marketing professional the key skills could be (a) Institutional sales, (b) Presentation skill (c) Brand promotion strategies (d) Exhibition etc.

However for an IT professional the key skills could be (a) Oracle (b) Unix (c) WAP (d) Java etc.

Additional Information
Giving upto date information in this section would give you an edge over others who have not provided the same, and also help the prospective job provides to make quick decisions regarding the selection.

Text Format Resume
Always make it a point to include a text format resume so that all those additional profile and credentials not covered in the standard format can be provided to the employer.
